Top tip for the day:

If your girlfriend/fiancee/wife has gone to bed and you've stayed up -in the dark- to play Left 4 Dead with a friend, DO NOT yell "HELP!" over your microphone. Even if a Smoker has you pinned and your zombie-slaying buddy hasn't noticed.
Your yell for help may be louder than you realised, and your peacefully-sleeping other half may not understand or appriciate that you were yelling for help on a computer game.
She may very well be angry.

Just saw part one of a brilliant Half-Life 2 fan-film: Escape from City 17.
I'm stunned, it's fantastically well made, especially considering it was shot on $500!

The Great Devourer Cometh

Well it's good to be back and into the swing on things again!

So far the site seems to be behaving itself, and my bandwidth is staying reasonably low (despite the fact I have unlimited bandwidth on this new account, I'm still keeping a weather eye on it!).

I'm looking forward to Creatures Anathema coming out for Dark Heresy, not the least because it has stats for Lictors and Genestealers and Orks! I'd love more Tyranid stats for DH, but the Lictor and 'stealers will do for now! And I'm sure more will come later.

Now just to sick the forces of the Great Devourer on my poor, helpless party!

We're back!

Well, after an unexpected -and very unpleasant- 6-week break, the SotI website is back!

For anyone who somehow doesn't know; the reason the site went down is that I recieved a bill for £1000 from my webhoster as I had managed to exceed my bandwidth for the month in a single week, by over 100 times!

So I had to pull the plug on the site sharpish, to avoid any further costs.

Luckily, I've now found a much nicer hoster, and hopefully from now on it'll all be fine.
The experience has definately taught me a few things though, and I'm no longer quite so trustworthy of webhosts.

Still, life goes on!
