Meat overload

I've been to two big barbeques this weekend, one at a friends (thanks again James!) and one at my parents, leaving me feeling like I'm suffering from meat-overload!
Next week I think I'm going to be on salad all week!

I was also reminded over the weekend about the new Blood Bowl game that (supposedly) got released 2 days ago.
I saw the trailers for it a while back, and although I was never really a fan of the original Blood Bowl tabletop game, the new game really looks like a lot of fun! The graphics are fairly good and each of the races seems to be well represented, and the commentators on the trailers really add to the whole vibe.

So many pretty things coming out!

Feeling lazy

Sorry guys; no strip this week; I'm feeling a bit lazy!

Hope you can all forgive me!

New Wallpaper

Well, new strip up as per usual!
Also this week there's a new wallpaper over in the 'extras' section; go check that shit out!

Another game trailer

This is the second trailer for a computer game to make me go "Whoah".

Star Wars: Old Republic

Why did the prequal movies not look this good?

Eek!

I'm the first person to admit that Ilove horror games, but I'm also the first person to admit that I'm also terrified by the good ones!

I'm not talking Resident Evil dog-jumping-though-the-window scared here; I'm more of a fan of the drawn-out psychological horror of games like Fatal Frame (that's Project: Zero to most westerners) and Dark Corners of the Earth. It's the same with my taste in horror movies; although jump-out-of-your-seat and shlock-horror movies can be fun, I much prefer films that leave you with a lingering dread and that "I think I'll sleep with the lights on" feeling.

Why am I rambling about this? Well, I bought the Penubra trilogy of games today, and have just played enough of the first one to convince me that this will be one of those 'sleep with the lights on' games.

It's masterfully done, with an interesting control system and a really atmospheric setting that drives you towards stealth and evasion of enemies over a direct Freeman-style solution.

The first 'level' has you running around a darkened mine, with only a hammer as your weapon and I was crapping myself at every odd noise and sfx-moan that came out of the speakers!

Can't wait to play some more.

Now I'm off to sit in bed and gibber!
