Save me some sugar

New strip up as promised!

This week the new Left 4 Dead 2 DLC 'The Passing' came out and I finally sat down to play it through yesterday. I was pleasantly surprised that it fits neatly into the existing L4D2 storyline and also -the main point of the map- it introduces the new survivors to the ones from the first game.
I was hoping for a little more intereaction between the new and old characters, but what was there is pretty good and there seems to be some replay value so you can see what dialogue each of the characters gets with the original team. So far I've played through as Ellis and Nick and both have some great little conversations with Zoey & co.

The big thing for me about the map, however, is a new Midnight Riders track and also a related easter egg that really makes me think the Riders might appear in future L4D2 DLC in a much more tangible sense...

Now I just want Portal 2 and HL2:EP3 to come out!
Get a move on Valve!

Ffffffffffffffffff

My wife and I went airsofting a few weeks ago, and during the last game of the day Rhi's gun fell apart in the middle of the woods.
It's a FN F2000, and the falling apart is (kinda) intentional; the barrel section comes loose if a switch is pressed, for maintenance.
Unfortunatly, the switch to release the barrel is very, very easy to press.

We later realised that when the gun came apart the hop-up, a vital part of the gun, fell out and was lost. No matter, we thought, we'll order an upgrade. Easy.

Tonight we were installing the upgraded hop-up when we realised that the old unit wasn't the only part that fell out... so did the entire inner barrel.

Ffffffffffffffffffffffffff

Achey feet

Sorry people, no strip this week.
I've spent the last 2 days at an ethical lifestyle exhibiton in London, manning my company's booth.
2 days so non-stop standing, smiling and repeating the same information to enquiring individuals.
Then on the way home, the tubes were closed so I ended up walking across London on one of the nicest, sunniest days we've had so far, which would have been great if I hadn't been so tired and hot.

So I'm taking today to chill out, relax and let my feet recover. I might go drink beer and read my book in the garden.

Something about Titans

Strip up as promised. For some reason finishing the strip this week felt like a real struggle. Maybe I'm just lazy.

Went to see Clash of the Titans this weekend. It was pretty good, but I still prefer the 1981 version.
Obviously the new version is a 'reimagining', rather than a straight retelling, so the plot and characters have changed a bit, but I felt that it lacked the charm and style of the original.
Plus Greek mythology was taking a serious hit in parts of the film. I'm a bit of a Greek Geek, so I won't go into it.

Overall it was nicely done, and had some cool sequences in it (the new-look Kraken was very impressive), and wasn't a bad waste of an afternoon. Not as good as I had been expecting though.

I also watched a trailer for a film called The Human Centipede. Now some shit I just don't need to see.
Do not look it up if you, like me, have an overactive imagination and a dislike of surgery.
Cannot unsee this shit.
Ick.

No strip tomorrow

Sorry people, no strip tomorrow; I'm off airsofting with the wife! I might post the strip on Monday, time permiting!

By the way, the new Doctor Who was very good, much to my surprise! I'm very keen to see episode three, now that I've seen it contains olive drabDarleks with Union Jacks on them!
